|
| In this unit you have studied the relevance of social context in translation. Now you can tell how the society and literary translation are related to each other. This relationship is in terms of time and space, which has to be seen from the point of view of the trio of the author, translator and the reader. You have understood what role do the contemporaneity, tradition and culture play. You may also come to know where the translation of drama differs from the translation of other genres of literature. By now you must be able to tell about the socio-linguistic aspect of translation also. |
