Useful Publications on TRANSLATOR EDUCATION

The LANGUAGE INTERNATIONAL WORLD DIRECTORY is a series of international listings on subjects pertaining to language related practices. The second Language International World Directory titled Translation and Interpreting Schools is a listing of translation schools around the world. The data compiled here were first collected in 1995 by Prof. Brian Harris (University of Ottawa) and were double checked and updated at Praetorius Limited (Leeds. UK) in December 1996.

This book is intended for

• STUDENTS with a good knowledge of their second language(s) who wish to take a course in the country where these languages are spoken. Therefore the information is given alphabetically by country. Students can decide on the basis of the specialization of the courses which one would be most appropriate. You are advised to check a map of the country to find your preferred spot.
